Board Meeting Minutes---Tuesday, November 8, 2005

 

 

 

The meeting was called to order by Pres. Elsie Munson at 7:03 pm.  Trustees present:  Evelyn Brefeld, Mary Jo Farrell, Kathy Hughes, Kathy Kucik, Elsie Munson, Edna Robel and library director Maria Zawacki.  Absent:  Doug Liston.

 

A motion was made by Mary Jo Farrell  and seconded by Edna Robel to approve the minutes of the board meeting on Oct. 11,2005.  Motion carried.

 

A motion was made by Mary Jo Farrell and seconded by Evelyn Brefeld to pay the bills in the amount of $31,216.61.  Motion carried.  Ayes:  Evelyn Brefeld, Mary Jo Farrell, Kathy Hughes, Kathy Kucik, Elsie Munson and Edna Robel.  Nayes:  none.  Absent:  Doug Liston.

 

Treasurer’s Report was examined.  We are 1/3 of the way thru the fiscal year.

 

Committee Reports: none

 

Correspondence: 

A copy of the letter sent from Township Supervisor, Donna A. Schaefer, to Illinois State Library thanking them for the grant providing library resources for the senior citizens at the township senior center.

 

Unfinished Business: none

 

New Business:

A motion was made by Kathy Kucik and seconded by Kathy Hughes to approve a change in policy for color copy fee ($1/page).  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Kathy Hughes and seconded by Evelyn Brefeld to approve an increase in fees for NSF checks ($20 fee). Motion carried.

Review and discuss policy on unpaid sick leave…action to be addressed at next meeting.

Review and discuss Sunday hours….action to be addressed at next meeting.

 

Director’s Report:

The library is collecting cash for the Adopt-A-Library program…we will be informed later about the specific library we are helping.

Booktoberfest was a great success

Plumbing problems have been handled appropriately.

New printer was purchased…great price!

 

No public or board input.

 

Adjournment:  a motion was made by Evelyn Brefeld and seconded by Kathy Hughes to adjourn the meeting.  Motion carried.  Meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm.
