DIRECTOR’S REPORT

September 2014

  1. Summer Reading Program Statistics:

There were 186 children who completed the kids’ program, with a total of 411 completed reading logs turned in.  For the young adult program, there were 10 who completed the program, with a total of 19 completed entries submitted.  For the adult reading program, there were 34 people who completed the program, with a total of 134 completed reading logs submitted.

  1. Upcoming Bible 101 Classes:

Our former board president and current pastor of Joyful Harvest Lutheran Church, Doug Liston, offered to host at the library a series of classes on the Bible.  He was only able to do certain evenings and our meeting room had limited evening availability.  The only dates that mutually worked were Tuesdays on Sept. 30, Oct. 7, Oct. 14, and Oct. 21.   October 14 is a board meeting night and the 21st is a Friends meeting night, but I thought we could move our meetings to elsewhere in the library in order to accommodate Doug’s classes.
