The Johnsburg Public Library District provides materials and services to help patrons obtain information meeting their educational, recreational, informational, and personal needs.  Special emphasis is placed on assisting students of all ages in meeting education objectives.  The library encourages young children’s interests and appreciation for reading and learning, as well as providing recreational and leisure materials for patrons of all ages.

The library’s budget for FY2017 is $887,916.

The following organization exercises control over our policies and procedures: The Johnsburg Public Library Board of Library Trustees, which meets monthly at the library.  Its members are: Madelyn Diedrich, President; Jim Stockwell, Vice President; Karen Gustafson, Secretary; Barbara Harmel, Treasurer; Kathleen Hughes, Phyllis Shearer, and Sue Reitz.

The Johnsburg Public Library has 8 full-time and 5 part-time employees.  The library director supervises all positions: bookkeeper, creative services coordinator, youth librarians, clerks, shelvers, building manager, and cleaning aides.
